In 1952, our founder, Dr. Ruben Rausing started the company having created an alternative to the heavy glass bottles used for packaging and distributing milk. Like all real disruptors, he believed there was a better way to do this – and he was right.??

Together with the Swedish engineer, Erik Wallenberg, he developed a tetrahedron-shaped paper packaging carton, inspiring the name of the company and marking the start of our ground-breaking contribution to the safe distribution of food around the world.

Since day one, we have been rooted in our determination to help make food safe and available, everywhere. And in believing we can always ?nd a better way of doing things – something that has been, and continues to be, the driving force behind our innovations and our company.??
